Camp Letts is a year-round conference and retreat center about 10 miles from Annapolis and 34 miles from Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Located on the Chesapeake Bay, the 219-acre peninsula has miles of wooded trails for hiking, horseback riding, and nature discovery. In the summer months, it is the home of the Washington area YMCA. The retreat offers heated lodges, hearty meals, and recreational activities. The plans for the Camp Letts Rendezvous are coming together and we are expecting hundreds of timber framers and their families to come together for a challenging and fun week of training, demonstrations and hands-on activities. One low registration fee will include most rendezvous activities, meals and lodging (there are options for either cabins or camping); there are additional fees for certification courses and those with limited enrollment. All Event Registrations fees include meals and lodging. You may register for one of two options to attend the Camp Letts Rendezvous: either the five-day All-Week package (arrival for Monday dinner, departure after breakfast Sunday) or the Weekend package (arrival for Thursday dinner, departure after breakfast on Sunday). All participants must register for one of these two options. Lodging includes bunk space in one of the many Camp lodges. If you wish to share your room with a certain person, be sure to indicate who your roommate will be. SPECIAL WORKSHOPS Additional tuition fees are charged for the following: Square Rule Layout (all day, Tuesday-Friday) Scribe Rule Layout (all day, Tuesday-Friday) You may register for only one of the above workshops as they happen concurrently. Project Management Workshop (4 daily 90-minute sessions, Tuesday-Friday) may be taken with either Layout Workshop. If you are taking a Layout Workshop, you are limited to registering for only one of the Scaffolding, Aerial Lift or Forklift courses in order to minimize schedule conflicts and your absence from the Layout Workshop. CERTIFICATION COURSES Participants who successfully complete these courses will gain certification cards. You may take one or more of the certification courses if you are not registered for either of the Layout workshops. Scaffolding Training (all day Wednesday) Aerial Lift Training (all day Thursday) Forklift Training (all day Friday) Red Cross First Aid for the Workplace, including CPR (Cardio-Pulminary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defribillator) – your choice of all-day Tuesday or Saturday You may register for the Saturday Red Cross First Aid training (but not the Tuesday one) if you are also registered for the Layout Workshop since there is no schedule conflict.
